Further refinements of Jainus, I went with option A.
Color options for the refined sketches. Ended up with a combination, but this helped me test lots of ideas, including using shell patterning on the armor plates.
Initial sketches for the pilot. C was the main direction, but I liked the oversized helmet and jacket of A.
A little bit of development work into the look of the alien planet's reanimation of the colonists dead
Modular gear level progression tiers
First Colony follows boy prince and captain of Mantle 3 as he reluctantly tries to save the ship wrecked survivors of the First Omega Expedition. In an extremely hostile alien world he suddenly finds himself in a position where he must both protect his people and make them learn to find balance with their new home.
